COVID-19

Policies & Procedures

Mandated by Alberta Health Services and all Massage Associations, there are a number of policies and procedures that are required of your RMT to practice during COVID-19.  Including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Enhanced cleaning of all touchable surfaces using Health Canada approved cleaning products.

  • Maintained strict hand washing and personal hygiene protocols.

  • Removal of any surfaces or products that cannot be properly sanitized.

  • Enhanced linen cleaning protocols.

  • Strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards for both practitioner and client.

  • Increased break time for cleaning and decreased cross-over between clients.

  • Advance and day-of COVID screening for your RMT and every client at every appointment.

  • Appointment cancellation fees will be waived in the event of illness.

Client Responsibilities

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 is everyone's responsibility.  The following are policies and procedures that clients are required to follow.  Breech of any of these policies will result in termination of your appointment.

  • Any appointment must be rescheduled if the client is experiencing any COVID related symptoms, has travelled internationally in the last 14 days or has been in close contact with a presumed or confirmed case of COVID.

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early.

  • Clients must fill out a complete Intake Form, including a COVID waiver.

  • Clients must complete an online COVID screening questionnaire prior to their appointment.

  • Upon entering the premisses, clients will complete a verbal COVID screening including having their temperature taken.

  • Clients will also wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the premisses.

  • A mask or face covering will be worn at all times.
